The Role
You will lead our generator service function, handling the technical work, the people and the commercial side. You will be responsible for service delivery from fault call to invoice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the generator service department, including technicians, scheduling, AMCs and spares
- Diagnose, repair and overhaul industrial diesel engines and gensets
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations for repairs, overhauls and service contracts
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and AMF/synchronizing panel work
- Keep service records and ensure work meets quality and safety standards
- Act as the technical point of contact for clients
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, HND or NVQ Level 5+ in Mechanical, Electrical or Automobile Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial diesel engines and generators
- Strong technical knowledge of engines, governors, alternators and control panels
- Proven experience preparing quotations and costing service work
- Technical management skills, with the ability to lead and organize a service team
- Valid driving licence
