Senior Shipping Executive
 

Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct price negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms. 
  • Manage purchase orders (POs), sales contracts, and payment terms. 
  • Oversee delivery terms and ensure timely arrival of shipments. 
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain operations. 
  • Liaise with selected clearing agents and freight forwarders to ensure smooth customs clearance. 
  • Coordinate logistics to facilitate timely and cost-effective shipment deliveries. 
  • Prepare and manage all necessary import documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with import duty regulations and shipping requirements. 
  • Oversee the cargo clearance process to ensure efficient and timely clearance and Address any issues that may arise during the clearance process. 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal controls related to the import of goods. 
  • Implement and maintain internal processes to ensure compliance and efficiency. 
  • Handle fire, marine, and goods in transit insurance requirements. 
  • Ensure all necessary insurance coverage is in place to mitigate risks. 
  • Manage Letters of Credit (LC) and negotiate shipping terms with banks, while overseeing additional responsibilities critical to ensuring smooth and efficient international trade transactions. 

 Requirements  

  • A recognized qualification in Shipping and Logistics Management. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, with sound knowledge of import/export documentation processes. 
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines and targets. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations effectively. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with mandatory fluency in English. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining
