We are seeking a skilled Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor – Post Contract to join our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all post-contract quantity surveying activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
- Manage cost control, variations, and claims assessments to ensure financial efficiency and project profitability.
- Lead and mentor the QS team, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Review and certify contractor valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.
- Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs and improve financial performance.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues, contractual matters, and claims, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, correspondence, and contract documents.
- Support procurement activities, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Age: Below 45 years.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Over 6 years of experience in a similar role within the MEP industry, with a strong focus on post-contract activities.
- Extensive knowledge of contract administration, cost control, and claims management.
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to accurately estimate costs, assess variations, and manage budgets.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of standard contract terms, conditions, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Knowledge of local regulations and codes related to construction and MEP projects.
