Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in mechanical system design and estimation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and estimating HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring that designs are prepared for tender submissions in compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Estimation:
- Develop comprehensive designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for tender submissions.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Analyze tender documents to understand technical requirements and constraints.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate cost information.
Tender Preparation:
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
- Review and evaluate tender specifications and drawings.
- Work with the bid team to ensure all tender aspects are addressed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Generate project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure that all tender documents are accurately completed and submitted on time.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in mechanical engineering technologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical system design and estimation.
- Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead project teams and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
