​QUANTITY SURVEYOR - MEP

​We are currently seeking a dedicated a n d experienced Quantity Surveyor - MEP to join our Installation department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and ​contribute to the success of our projects.

 

​Responsibilities:

​Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEP installations. 

​Review project specifications, drawings and other documentation to identify project requirements and potential cost implications.

​Collaborate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to gather relevant information for cost estimation and project planning.

​Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements.

​Monitor Project costs, track variations and prepare comprehensive cost reports throughout the project life cycle.

​Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities and evaluate workmanship for accurate measurement and valuation.

​Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive quotes for materials, equipment and services.

​Manage change orders, claims and contractual disputes related to quantity surveying and cost control.

​Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes and regulations.

​Qualifications:

   Age between 25-30 years.

​Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field.

​A relevant professional certification is preferred.

​03-04 years’ work experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the MEP industry, with a focus on installation projects.

​Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations.

​Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.

​Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to accurately estimate quantities and costs.

​Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

​Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

​Familiarity with contract administration and understanding of standard contract terms and conditions.

​Knowledge of local regulations and codes related to MEP installations.
