Responsibilities:
· Prepare MEP design drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs for Maldives-based projects
· Carry out accurate cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and material scheduling for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (HVAC, fire fighting, water supply, drainage, LV/ELV electrical systems, etc.)
· Liaise with project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives
· Review tender documents and prepare competitive, accurate MEP bid proposals
· Coordinate with site teams in the Maldives to ensure designs are practical, code-compliant, and cost-effective for on-site execution
· Ensure compliance with Maldivian building codes/standards and client/consultant requirements
· Support procurement teams with technical specifications and pricing input for MEP materials and equipment
· Maintain project documentation, cost reports, and estimation records
· Evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations for MEP works
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (or related field)
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP design and/or estimation (construction industry)
· Prior experience with Maldives-based, resort, or island/remote-site projects is a strong advantage
· Proficiency in AutoCAD (MEP), Revit (preferred), and estimation software (e.g., CostX, or similar)
· Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and costing principles
· Excellent communication and coordination skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple project estimates simultaneously
· Willingness to travel to the Maldives occasionally if required (short site visits)
Location: Sri Lanka (Office-based, supporting Maldives operations)
