Position: Credit Controller

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Employment Type: Full-Time

 Key Responsibilities:

·         Achieve Monthly Collection KPIs: Implement strategies to meet or exceed monthly collection targets, ensuring financial stability and liquidity.

·         Staff Performance Management: Set collection targets for staff, monitor performance, and drive the team towards achieving these goals through effective leadership and motivation.

·         Debtors Account Reconciliation: Take full responsibility for reconciling debtor accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records.

·         Customer Follow-Up: Conduct regular follow-ups with customers on Statements of Account (SOAs) to encourage timely payments and maintain positive relations.

·         Credit Evaluation: Evaluate credit applications meticulously and supervise debtors to ensure compliance with approved credit limits, reducing financial risk.

·         Reporting: Generate accurate and detailed monthly reports as required by management to aid in strategic decision-making.

·         Customer Visits: Be willing to visit customers as necessary to discuss accounts, negotiate payments, or build stronger business relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

·         Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, capable of effective negotiation and customer service.

·         Experience: Prior experience in a credit control or related financial role is highly desirable.

·         Education: A degree from a recognized university or full qualification in AAT, part qualification in CA/CIMA.

·         Attitude: A positive approach to dealing with people, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism.

·         Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems is a distinct advantage, showcasing the ability to adapt to various financial software.
