NativeWay Group is seeking a competent and experienced Assistant Workshop Manager to support and oversee workshop operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in diesel generators, excellent management skills, and proven experience in running and organizing workshop operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repair of diesel generators and related equipment.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Supervise, manage, and instruct technicians, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
- Allocate jobs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain workshop discipline, productivity, and safety standards.
- Support inventory control of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure proper documentation, job records, and maintenance logs are maintained.
- Coordinate with management on planning, reporting, and operational improvements.
- Ensure cost-effective operations and efficient use of resources.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity or in running workshops (mechanical / generator / engineering environment).
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators is essential.
- Proven management skills in handling, guiding, and instructing technicians.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to execute maintenance plans effectively and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on, practical, and problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication skills and leadership ability.
- Experience in workshop administration and operations will be a strong advantage.
