To support our expanding portfolio of water infrastructure projects, we seek a highly skilled Assistant Manager – Tendering (Water Projects) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of tender documents, including eligibility criteria, technical, and commercial proposals.
  • Conduct cost estimation, risk analysis, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
  • Meet tender requirements, specifications, and contract conditions while ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing and technical details.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and negotiations with clients and consultants.
  • Review and analyze contract documents to ensure alignment with project scope, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to CIDA, ICTAD, and other relevant contract frameworks.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to identify cost-effective sourcing options.
  • Provide support to project teams on contractual obligations, tender requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components in water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks.
  • Assist in evaluating design alternatives, value engineering, and optimizing project execution plans.
  • Monitor post-tender activities, including contract variations, claims management, and financial adjustments.
  • Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external consultants to secure approvals and permits.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial expectations.
  • Ensure that all tendering processes comply with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.

Key Qualifications

  • Age: Below 45 years.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. A professional qualification in contract management or quantity surveying is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in tendering and cost estimation for water-related projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in water infrastructure, contract administration (CIDA, ICTAD), and procurement strategies.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with cost estimation and tendering software tools.
