We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team.
Your Role:
We are looking for an analytical, energetic, and self-motivated Accountant to take on a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions. This role requires a results-driven individual who can manage responsibilities efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Prepare detailed financial reports on budgets, accounts payable/receivable, and expenses.
- Provide actionable financial insights to senior management to support business strategies.

Financial Oversight & Risk Management:
- Oversee long-term business planning through detailed financial analysis.
- Ensure cash collection efficiency, deposit reconciliation accuracy, and safe fund handling.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks proactively.

Accounts Oversight:
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Guide the team in invoice management, expense verification, payment tracking, and overdue account resolution to maintain a healthy cash flow.

Strategic Business Analysis & Decision Support:
- Conduct profitability studies, inventory performance reviews, and feasibility evaluations for expansion projects.
- Provide data-driven insights to support executive-level decision-making.

Cost Control & Financial Efficiency:
- Develop and implement cost-control strategies by optimizing resource allocation and proposing cost-saving measures.

Budget & Cash Flow Management:
- Lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and fund management to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Regulatory & Tax Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax return preparation and filing.
- Stay updated on evolving tax laws, including Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (LKAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Age: Preferably below 35 years.
- Education & Certification:
- Full/Part Professional Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or a degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial analysis tools, and financial modeling techniques.
- Language Proficiency:
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Proficiency in Sinhala is a strong asset.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
- Ability to multitask, plan effectively, and meet tight deadlines with high accuracy.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Extensive understanding of IFRS, LKAS, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Analytical Expertise:
- Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning skills.
